
Coach Kidd
Pete (PJ) Kidd Owner of Elite Kidd Baseball Academy and Head of Infield development for the SE Red Sox was born and raised in Harlem, NY and resides in Atlanta GA. In the early stages of his baseball career he earned an opportunity in 2002 to play for the Harlem Little League team that competed in the Little League World Series. They made it to the USA semi finals, placing 3rd in the USA and 5th in the World.
Throughout high school, played high school baseball for The Beacon School (NY) where he was a 4 year varsity letterman from 2008-2012. He concluded his high school career as a MIF/3B, earning All State and All-Region honors.
He earned a scholarship and played 3 years at NCAA Division II, Chestnut Hill College (PA) as a MIF/3B. In 2010, he yielded a .314 batting average during the regular season and played collegiate summer baseball for the NYCBL where he carried a .409 batting average and .523 slugging percentage and .970 fielding percentage, earning an Collegiate league All Star selection.
After his playing career ended due to injury in 2011; he graduated with a Bachelors in Marketing, and continued to earn his Masters in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University (DE). He began training infielders of all ages in 2013 and to date he is responsible for aiding in defensive improvement , which has resulted in several players earning college scholarships and the opportunity to play at the next level. His coaching & fielding philosophy is simple; "Explain the why behind the action, and simplify the approach to ensure consistency."
